Yes, I'm married and yes, I'm only 20 years old. My husband is going to be 21 in October and we couldn't be happier than we are. Life isn't easy and I don't think it ever will be, but that's what makes every day so different and exciting. Challenge is good and helps us work even harder everyday.
So, you might think we're crazy and stupid for getting married young and that's fine. Believe me when I tell you it's the best decision I could have ever made. I've never been happier and though I only may be 20 years old, I know what's right for me. Our reasons for getting married are simply our business and no one else's. We simply knew it was the right thing to do.
We've had a pretty strong relationship since Day 1, and have traveled so much together already. We've endured 20 hour car rides together, with no problems and flown cross country without issue as well. Even though I'm a die-hard Pittsburgh Penguins fan, and he's a Boston Bruins fan, I'm pretty proud of what I've got next to me :)
We got married on June 24th of this year, after getting engaged on May 26th, so you could say we had a super short engagement... We did it for multiple reasons, the main one being that we love each other and felt that it was what was best. It saved us a hell of a lot of money for the time being, without having to worry about wedding expenses which was a bonus as well. Sure it has brought a ton of responsibility upon us, but it's all worth it at the end of the day. The tuition breaks we're getting for school are a huge plus as well. I've been in and out of college, mostly because I haven't known what I wanted to do until now. My husband hasn't gone to college yet, and graduated in 2011 just as I did, because he's been playing Junior Hockey. We will both be attending college in Rochester, NY this fall, and embarking on the college journey hand in hand. He will be playing hockey and working towards a Marketing degree and I'm entering as a pre-pharmacy student and intend on going straight through all the way to my PharmD and the career of a dream for me.
The point of this page, is to showcase our life as a young married couple getting through college and well... life, and sharing how we save money, live life and operate things around the house everyday. I'm obsessively organized and love trying new things in the kitchen. (Pinterest has ruined me!!!!) I hope you stay tuned, and enjoy our journey together. From the recipes, DIY, fashion, moving tips, beauty tips and even home organization, trust me when I say you're sure to end up making this page a bookmark on your computer and probably your phone as well...
